The time for processing the visa is a minimum of two months. It may vary on the total number of applications received for a particular academic session. Application for a student visa can be done in four different ways that include:
- Online
- In-person
- Through immigration advisor
- Visa center

The visa granted in original to students will be applicable if and only if any change has not been implemented by the respective institution. A valid student visa permits the students to pursue a full-time course in New Zealand for a specific period. Certain conditions that you must meet at the time of applying student visa include but are not limited to:
- Name of the program
- Name of the education provider
- Location of the education provider
- Acceptable insurance
In terms of financial power, it is mandatory to show proof of having a minimum of INR 9,00,000 approximately to stay and study in New Zealand. The candidate must be in a position to maintain a minimum of NZD 1250 every month to survive in New Zealand. All proofs must be submitted in documentary forms to avoid any type of confusion.
In addition, the candidate must be in a position to produce proof of good health and character from the native country before taking entry to New Zealand. Scores from GMAT, GRE, or TOEFL will serve to be as proof of proficiency in the English language.
